My name is Penny Pucket, and I am the owner of CopperCoin Bookkeeping based in Independence, Missouri. Thanks to cloud technology and virtual bookkeeping solutions, I can help business owners all across the United States keep their finances organized and their businesses running smoothly.

A little about me—I was raised on a farm in Ulysses, Kansas, in the heart of southwest Kansas. I married my second-grade sweetheart, who just happened to be a farmer. For over 40 years, I managed the books for our farming operation while also helping my parents with the bookkeeping for their farm, alfalfa pellet mill, and helicopter spray business. Payroll, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting—you name it, I probably handled it.

Along the way, I also worked part-time and full-time in the medical field, serving in roles ranging from receptionist to billing specialist. From general practice and chiropractic offices to anesthesia providers, I often became the one-person office handling multiple responsibilities and keeping operations running smoothly.

 

When I’m not working, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our four children and nine grandchildren. We recently adopted a German Shepherd rescue named Katy, who could happily play ball all day long. We also enjoy taking trips on our Gold Wing motorcycle, which helped us survive the empty nest years with a little adventure. In my spare time, you’ll usually find me baking, sewing, or working on a cross-stitch project.
